If you want to watch some of the best basketball in Northern Virginia during the Christmas holiday week, the Bulldog Bash Basketball Tournament at Westfield High School is the place you want to be during the holiday break.
The 2011 tournament Girl's Teams include Bishop Ireton, Centreville, Flint Hill, Freedom South Riding, James Madison, Paul VI,Potomac, and Westfield while the Boy's teams include Battlefield, Fairfax, Flint Hill, Annapolis Area Christian School(MD), McLean, Potomac, Sewickley Academy (PA), and Westfield.
See you at next year's tournament which kicks off on Tuesday, December 26 and will continue through Thursday, December 28. All games will be played at Westfield High School (click here for directions) throughout each tournament day and will culminate with boys and girls championship on the final evening of play.
Admission Costs are $6 per day (good for all games on that day). A three-day tournament pass is available for $15 (good for all games in the tournament). Free admission will be granted to:
Coaches, players, managers and score keepers for participating teams
VHSL, VISL, WCAC, ISL and IAC high school coaches and school administrators
Newspaper, TV, print, and other electronic media personnel
Senior citizens (60 Years of age and older).
Pre-School children under 6 years of age.
College coaches, scouts, and administration personnel
All youth basketball players (when wearing their basketball jersey and accompanied by a paying parent)
